CLEVELAND, Ohio- Cleveland City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday, approved a new three-year collective bargaining agreement between the city and the Cleveland Police Patrolman's Association.
Sanctioned by Mayor Justin Bibb, the agreement is effective April 1, 2025-March 31, 2028 and provides for an increase in the salaries and wages for members of the bargaining unit, among other provisions.
Police and other bargaining unit members will get a 9% pay raise over three years, 3% each year beginning April 1.
The Cleveland Police Patrolman's Association (CPPA) is a labor union representing roughly 1,450 non-supervisory patrol officers, detectives, and radio dispatchers. It serves as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for negotiating wages, hours of work, and other conditions of employment with the City of Cleveland.
