Bobbi Kristina Brown (pictured), the daughter of the late pop singer Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown, is likely not to recover from a medically induced coma that has her on life support and unresponsive, People Magazine reported yesterday.
According to the news report, it would be a miracle if the unresponsive 21-year-old Bobbi Kristina recovers.
The young woman, who friends says was still grieving the loss of her mother, was reportedly found face down in the bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon, 30, and a friend in their Roswell, Georgia, home on Saturday morning.
Gordon performed CPR before paramedics arrived and his young wife was ultimately transported by ambulance to North Fulton Hospital, an Atlanta area hospital.
She has not regained consciousness.
Brown released a statement through his lawyer saying nothing specifically on his daughter's condition, but calling for privacy.
"The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, is accurate," said Brown. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
Police are still investigating, sources said.
Bobbi Kristina is the sole heir of Whitney Houston's $20 million fortune. She married Gordon, a family friend, last year and received $1.2 million shortly thereafter, the first installment from the trust fund her mother left her. She would have gotten the remainder of her inheritance upon turning 30.
Houston and Brown were divorced.
In town for a pre Grammy Awards party, Houston was found dead in her guest room at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, California on February 11, 2012. The official coroner's report says that the pop icon accidentally drowned in the bathtub, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as the causes of death.
