CLEVELAND, Ohio - Free events in greater Cleveland today, January 19, that honor the life of slain Civil Rights leader the Rev Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.,  are as follows:

 

Cleveland Museum of Natural History. 1 Wade Oval Drive. 216-231-4600 or cmnh.org. noon-5 p.m.

 

Cleveland Orchestra. Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave. 216-231-1111 or clevelandorchestra.com. Concert previews are presented in Reinberger Chamber Hall one hour before each concert. MLK Jr. Community Open House. Noon today.

 

Cleveland Public Library. Martin Luther King Jr. branch, 1962 Stokes Blvd. 216-623-2921 or cpl.org. MLK Day celebration. Noon today.

 

Greater Cleveland Aquarium. 2000 Sycamore St. 216-862-8803 or greaterclevelandaquarium.com. Features more than 40 exhibits, including a walk-through shark exhibit. Strollers and wheelchair accessible. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Each guest who chooses to donate $1 or more to the United Black Fund will receive $10 admission ticket to the aquarium to be used today.

 

Karamu House Performing Arts Theatre. Arena Theatre, 2355 East 89th St., Cleveland. 216-795-7070 or karamuhouse.org. Honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The day will be commemorated by a day of service. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
