CLEVELAND, Ohio-The family of Tanisha Anderson (pictured) and community activists, Cleveland NAACP members, and others will hold a vigil on Saturday,  Nov. 22 at 5 pm at the family home on 1372 Ansel Road in Cleveland where the 37-year-old unarmed Black woman was killed by police . "We invite the community to the vigil and thank them and community activists for their support," said Joell Anderson, Tanisha Anderson's brother, who also told Cleveland Urban News.Com that he is limited to what he can say around the ordeal per the directive of the family attorney, David Malik.

An autopsy is pending.

According to the family,  an ambulance was called to the family home on Nov. 12  because Anderson, who was not violent and had a history of mental health p[roblems, was not herself.  Instead, Cleveland police arrived and ultimately placed her in handcuffs and then in the police car. When she verbally objected, she was allegedly slammed to the sidewalk by police. An ambulance took some 20 minutes to arrive at the scene and Anderson, whose body is currently with the county coroner, died.
