Cleveland,Ohio- The PowerHouse SA.R.C. will host its second annual "Getting Smart in the Park" community empowerment event on Saturday, July 6 beginning at noon in Luke Easter Park in Cleveland.
The keynote speaker is City of Cleveland Public Health Safety Director Karen Butler. Other speakers include Cleveland NAACP Executive Director Sheila Wright, Cleveland Fourth District Police Commander Deon McCauley, Cleveland Ward 6 Councilwoman Mamie Mitchell, Cleveland Ward 1 Council Candidate Kimberly F. Brown and Community Activist and CNN Hero Laura Cowan.
The PowerHouse S.A.R.C. is led by the husband-wife team of Pastors A.J. and Cheryl Thompson of the House of Prayer Ministries of Greater Cleveland.
"We invite the community to join us to hear the speakers and for a day of food and fun in the park," said Pastor Cheryl Thompson.
