COLUMBUS, Ohio —As of Wed., Nov. 3 the Ohio Department of Health reports a total of 1,556,208 (+4,503) new cases since its last report, leading to 80,450 (+190) hospitalizations and 10,196 (+18) ICU admissions. A total of 6,491,459 people — or 55.53% of the state’s population — has at least started the vaccination process, an increase of 5,854 from the previous day.
The 28-day case average is at 3,700.
Since the coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. with a vengeance in March of 2020, ODH has reported some 1.5 million cases and 24, 763 deaths, including the 4,503 new cases reported on Wed.
Nationwide, some 46 million cases have been reported along with more than 750,000 deaths, compared to 2.1 million cases worldwide and some 4.5 million deaths.
