CLEVELANDURBANNEWS.COM-CLEVELAND, Ohio- Community activists, community members and family and friends of 6-year-old Lyric Melodi Lawson, who died from a gunshot wound to the head Saturday morning while sleeping in her bed at 1388 E. 71st Street and St Clair Ave in the South Collinwood Neighborhood on Cleveland's largely Black east side, will hold a vigil and anti- gun violence march today, Oct 7, 2019 at 5pm beginning at Cleveland Metropolitan School District's Hannah Gibbons-STEM School where the Black girl attended.

"We urge everybody to attend this vigil and march today," said longtime Cleveland activist Art McKoy of Black on Black Crime. "If you are truly tired of our children being murdered unmercifully, please join us for this necessary gathering."
