Following the loss by the Cavaliers to the Warriors in the NBA Finals earlier this year, the match-up was one of the most anticipated of the NBA year, and neither team disappointed.

Cleveland's LeBron James led in scoring for both teams with 25 points, but not enough to put his team over the top as point guard Kyrie Irving, whose knee injury in the NBA finals last year kept him sidelined until five days ago, missed 11 of 15 shots from the field. And Kevin Love, a power forward who also missed last year's NBA finals with a shoulder injury, walked away with just 10 points for the Cavaliers on Friday night.

With a 28-1 regular season record after tonight's win, and  now off to its second best season start in franchise history the Warriors, who rank first in the Western Conference and can now brag of winning 32 straight regular-season home games,  led most of the first half, and took over in the second half.

Draymond Green had 22 points for the Warriors, Stephen Curry added 19, and Klay Thompson finished with 18 points.

Asked how he felt on the win, the 32nd home win for his team, Curry, the most valuable player of the NBA for the 2014-15 season,  told reporters that he was elated, and that he wants the winning streak to continue.

"We want more, "  said Curry,  who added that he was looking forward to getting home to family and that "God is good."

Curry ended the game with a calf injury, but said in response that "it's nothing serious."

The Cavaliers remain first in the Eastern Conference and now lead with a 19-8 regular -season win-loss record to date.
