Elizabeth Kucinich will speak briefly on gun control.
She told key event organizer Kathy Wray Coleman of the Imperial Women Coalition that she is passionate about gun control and that she had no reservation about speaking.
Dennis Kucinich faces Richard Chordray, a former state attorney general and state treasurer and consumer watchdog who recently quit his job in Washington, D.C relative to his bid for governor, state Sen. Joe Schiavoni (D-33), former state representative Connie Pillich, and former Ohio Supreme Court justice Bill O'Neil in a five-way race for the Democratic nomination for governor of Ohio.
"We will be in Toledo for a debate for governor sponsored by the Ohio Democratic Party and then tomorrow Elizabeth and I will head to Cleveland for the women's forum at Old Stone Church," said Akron Councilwoman Tara Samples, one of four keynote speakers for International Women's Day event in Cleveland on Thursday and the lieutenant governor candidate on the ticket of Dennis Kucinich, a former Cleveland mayor, former congressman and twice a candidate for president.

The three other keynote speakers are 14th congressional district Democratic candidate and Civil Rights attorney Betsy Rader, Democratic, activist and former Cleveland school board vice president Genevieve Mitchell of the Carl Stokes Brigade and the Cleveland NAACP, and Isha Lele, a senior and student senate president at Hathaway Brown School, and an activist, debate scholar, honor student, and president of the student senate at the school in Shaker Heights, an all girls school.
