AKRON, Ohio-Pulitzer prize winning journalist Connie Schultz (pictured), a journalist in her own right who won the prestigious honor as a reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper, and the wife of Democratic U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, is the keynote speaker for The League of Women Voters of the Akron Area Women in Journalism Luncheon that will be held on Sat., March 17 at 11:00 am at the Fairlawn Country Club, 200 North Wheaton Rd, in Akron, Oh.
Also recognized at the event will be women in journalism that have made a contribution to the community, including Kathy Wray Coleman, a Black journalist of 18 years and a former freelance journalist for the Cleveland Call and Post Newspaper who now publishes and edits Cleveland Urban News.Com (www.clevelandurbannews.com) and The Kathy Wray Coleman Online News Blog.Com. (www.kathywraycolemanonlinenewsblog.com).
Women representing Cleveland area activist groups such as The Imperial Women are expected to attend.

Parts of the City of Akron are now included in the 11 Congressional District, which is led by Marcia L. Fudge, a Warrensville Hts. Democrat who also represents constituents in staggering parts of Akron's Summit County suburbs, and the east side of Cleveland and its eastern suburbs.
